Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer2027: Fashion’s Love Affair With Travel Continues
Everyone wants to get away and Giorgio Armani is dressing for the occasion.
I’m sure by now, someone in your Instagram feed is probably overseas travelling. A beach somewhere in Bali, a fit check in the streets of Tokyo, or perhaps a scenic train journey around Europe. Somehow, everyone seems to be on a mission going somewhere and honestly, who can blame them? Travel nourishes the soul.
At Giorgio Armani, the runway seemed to be having the same fantasy. Titled Mediterranean Market, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection looked to the region as a crossroads of cultures and commerce, a place where every journey brings something new to the table.

Known for his deconstructed, fluid suits, creative director Leo Dell’Orco took the idea up a notch with pieces and materials that feel travel-ready and made for life on the go.
The collection felt light, tactile and very Mediterranean-coded, building around natural fibres including linen, cotton and shantung. The palette explored the whites from sun-scorched stone, as well as earth and spice tones to the blues of the skies and seas. Pieces such as utilitarian trench coats, woven hats and extra large bags were designed to move seamlessly from one destination to the next.

Maybe that is why travel and fashion go hand in hand so naturally — they touch on themes of exploration, expression, and storytelling. In a world where life always keeps us occupied, the idea of a simple getaway feels more appealing than ever. Perhaps, at least for now, getting dressed is the closest thing to getting away.
