Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26: A Formula 1-Inspired Chronograph

The Visa Cash App Racing Bulls’ The Trackside Pop-up at ION Orchard Level 1 Atrium is happening from 1 to 11 October.

As Singapore gears up for another dynamic Formula 1 weekend, Tudor spotlights its long-standing connection with motorsport through its partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls with the latest Black Bay Chrono collection.

Tudor’s Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 takes its cues from Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 car, the VCARB 03

There is a reason the chronograph has become so closely associated with motorsport. Its ability to measure elapsed time and calculate speed makes it one of the few complications whose practical purpose has always aligned naturally with racing. Now pair that with a carbon fibre case — a material synonymous with modern racing cars — and you get a watch that connects the track to the wrist in both function and form.

The Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 is the latest expression of that connection. Created around Tudor’s partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, this limited-edition chronograph takes its cues from the team’s 2026 Formula 1 car, the VCARB 03. The watch displays its racing credentials boldly — with yellow accents, a racing white dial and a carbon fibre case giving it a distinctly track-focused design character.

The yellow is perhaps the most distinctive detail. Taken from the VCARB 03’s engine cowling, it circles the dial, which comes in “racing white”, while black chronograph sub-counters add a dynamic contrast. Pulling colours and materials directly from the car to create the new Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 provides a relatively simple visual cue that gives the watch a stronger identity than a logo alone could give.

Formula 1 has become prime real estate for luxury watch brands, but a logo on a race suit only goes so far. The most compelling partnerships make their presence felt on and off the grid. Tudor has that covered with VCARB drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, with Lawson also serving as a Tudor brand ambassador. More importantly, the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 gives the partnership substance: its motorsport credentials are built into the watch itself, making the connection feel less like sponsorship and more like a natural extension of the sport.

For Tudor, the connection between watchmaking and motorsport goes back more than five decades. It introduced its first chronograph, the Oysterdate, in 1970. The motorsport-inspired design established a lineage that has continued through the brand’s subsequent chronographs. The modern Black Bay Chrono carries some of those codes forward, including its contrasting sub-counters and tachymetric scale, while incorporating the “Snowflake” hands that have been part of Tudor’s dive-watch identity since 1969.

The Black Bay Chrono Carbon Carbon 26 pushes that racing connection further through its construction. Its 42mm case is made from carbon fibre, a material long associated with contemporary motorsport for its combination of strength and low weight. Aside from a visual reference to the VCARB 03, the use of carbon fibre gives the watch a material connection to the engineering prowess of Formula 1. Limited to 2,026 pieces, the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 is individually numbered on the case back, tying the watch directly to the season in which it was created.
