The Art of Moving Through Life With Burberry

Burberry redefines timeless dressing with elegant, enduring pieces designed to move with the seasons.

Ask anyone about Burberry, and its iconic trench coat is likely to come to mind. As the brand celebrates its 170th anniversary and looks to the future, it comes as little surprise that it continues to explore how to dress the modern man for the many rhythms of life. The answer lies in paying homage to its heritage while celebrating individuality.

Thomas Burberry, the brand’s eponymous founder, drew inspiration from England’s unpredictable weather in his approach to outerwear. His explorations led to the development of gabardine, the innovative fabric that would become a hallmark of the house. Lightweight, versatile and durable, it is arguably what makes Burberry, well, Burberry.

That same spirit of ingenuity lives on in the brand’s continued reinterpretation of its classic design codes, creating pieces made to last and be treasured. Whether navigating the English countryside, the bustle of the city or the palm-lined streets of Los Angeles, the modern man can make Burberry his own, whatever his pace or way of life.

Against the backdrop of California’s sun-drenched landscapes, brand ambassadors Son Heung Min and Bright Vachirawit put Burberry’s outerwear to the test in a new campaign that explores how classic pieces fit into modern life. The former, a celebrated South Korean footballer, eases into the day in a trench coat that is understated yet distinctive. The latter, a Thai actor who moves to his own beat, prepares for an open-air drive in a relaxed car coat whose clean lines give a classic silhouette a contemporary edge.

“The fit, first of all. I like something with a bit of attitude. Usually, I’ll put it on and just know if it’s me. I trust that feeling”, shared Vachirawit on what he values when choosing a piece of outerwear to add to his collection.

Accessories have a way of bringing a look together. On milder days, when a heavy coat feels like too much, or an outfit calls for a little textural contrast, a well-chosen scarf can make all the difference. Layering complementary pieces and mixing rich textures, meanwhile, lends an effortless finish. Vachirawit shared about what he values in a scarf, “How it feels and how it falls when you put it on. I like wearing it loose, a little undone. Even with a simple outfit, it can add a lot of character.”

Burberry has never relied on novelty to stay relevant. Instead, it continues to reinterpret its house icons through a contemporary lens, balancing its rich heritage with a modern sensibility. Whatever the weather or the pace of life, its approach to dressing is made for every season.
