H. Moser & Cie and Reebok Launch a Pump-inspired Watch
A watch inspired by a sneaker? H. Moser & Cie and Reebok show us how it’s done.
In the late 1980s, Reebok introduced the Pump sneaker, birthing a new cultural icon for an entire generation. The shoe singlehandedly revolutionised athletic footwear, showing how a sneaker should fit through the use of an unconventional, built-in inflatable mechanism.
Drawing on research into medical equipment, the Reebok Pump technology featured secret chambers that secured the ankles with a custom fit, fine-tuned by a pump ball on the tongue. It became a visual symbol of “locking in” before the phrase even took off — best illustrated by legendary basketball player DeCovan “Dee” Brown, who quite literally pumped his way to victory at the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk contest.
The Pump gave wearers a new sense of agency and control over their own performance; with a press of the button, the shoe seemed to come to life, moulding specially to their feet. Beyond providing immediate user-product connection, the Reebok Pump was also a reminder that peak performance and play could go hand in hand.

As the Pump gears up for a reintroduction in 2026, the Swiss watch brand transposes the beloved Pump gesture into a brand new timepiece. Unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, the Streamliner Pump pays homage to the Reebok signature with a striking orange button in place of a traditional crown. A press of the anodised aluminium pusher winds the watch’s mechanical movement, activates the matching orange disc-shaped power reserve indicator, and triggers over one hour of power reserve. Even after the spring is fully charged, wearers can continue pushing down on the pump for sheer enjoyment and satisfaction. Consider it joy with and without a purpose.
The Streamliner Pump arrives in two versions — black or white — that are limited to only 250 pieces each. Adding to the rarity of it all is a case crafted from forged quartz fibre, a material seldom seen in watchmaking. Compared to glass fibre, it is purer, whiter, and more resistant to UV exposure; it can also be dyed a myriad of colours, lending an aesthetic freedom that far surpasses the likes of carbon fibre.
To create the Streamliner Pump, the quartz fibre is cut into segments, compressed in a mould, and fused with resin. After undergoing two curing cycles, a unique moiré pattern forms atop the matte surface, ensuring that no two watches are alike. Inside, a protective titanium exoskeleton shields the Streamliner Pump’s newly engineered manual-winding calibre and promises water resistance up to 100m deep. Finally, integrated rubber straps complete the monochromatic design and reinforce the collaboration’s sporty backstory.
The narrative here begins with a shoe and ends with a shoe. H.Moser & Cie. and Reebok have laced up their collaboration by offering a new Pump sneaker exclusively to owners of the Streamliner Pump and close friends of the brand. Because as the age-old saying goes: If you’re going to talk the talk, you should also walk the walk.
